A Passion for Pictures

Hello and welcome, my name is Tom and I am a documentary style Wedding, family portraiture and commercial headshot photographer. Based in a lovely little village near Reading in Berkshire I am surrounded by lovely woodland and nature which has always inspired my photography. Using Canon camera equipment I absolutely love to trigger emotions through stunning images you can treasure.

My journey into photography began at a very young age, I always had an interest and whenever my father was taking pictures for the local ice rink (my sister skated a lot as a child) I would always want to take the camera or assist in one way or another. Fast forward to my early 20's and my mother bought herself a Canon 550D digital SLR camera. This is when my passion was ignited again and things really started to develop. I ended up using the camera a lot more than my mum, asking if I could take it to this or that and just snapping away at anything and everything I could, even renting or purchasing additional lenses or equipment for certain events or air shows yet I still didn't even own my own camera! Soon however I was able to purchase my own camera and transfer everything I had learned through playing around with my mums and wow, I was blown away with what I was able to achieve, developing further skills and knowledge.

At the beginning I had no real intentions of photography becoming a job, but people would see some of my images through friends and family and I would be asked if I could take some shots of this or that and soon after I had my first paid job! Boy was that a good feeling, being paid for something I loved doing and seeing the positive reactions of images that I had captured for other people! Very privileged.
